As summer approaches, we all know how important it is to cover up in the sun. Queensland mother of three, Ali Mowbray knows all too well that there's no such thing as a healthy tan. Diagnosed with discoid lupus (an auto-immune condition aggravated by sun exposure), sun safety became imperative for Ali. Agter a long unsuccessful search for sunshirts which were long sleeved, UPF 50+, affordable and gorgeous enough for fussy children to wear, Ali decided to create her own range. Subsequently Babes in the Shade was born. Babes in the Shade creates gorgeous, affordable, UPF 50+ swimwear and sun protection for children aged 0-12 and ladies (sizes 8-20). All sun shirts are chlorine resistant and have zips for easy changing. Designs appeal to all ages and firm favourites (Spotti Dotti and Rugger) are repeated in different colourways each season.
